How is cortisol made?  Our brain produces cortisol in our bodies in the following situations: When we have pain or tension in our muscles and in stressful situations. 

Where is cortisol made?  Cortisol is a hormone produced by the two adrenal glands, which are located on top of each kidney.

How is cortisol regulated?  The pituitary gland in the brain regulates cortisol production.
